Oysters have long been the sustenance of the people (Charles Dickens once wrote “poverty and oysters always seems to go together.”), and has especially survived in the traditional English pie.
Oysters were served raw from carts; Peddler's would trade throughout the busiest streets of London, with this image in mind we aim to recreate and honour the Oystergirls & boys of history.
We serve fresh oysters from a vintage builders cart (circa. 1910) and shuck the oysters raw on a wine cask, served-up with optional traditional & modern condiments such as fresh lemon juice, shallot mignonette, cocktail sauce, spicy mignonette and tabasco sauce.
